The Early Learning Center of Aspen is a community driven nonprofit childcare center, providing quality care and education for local children since 1991.
We nurture our students, educators, and families by providing inclusive, creative, and individualized learning experiences.
“We are grateful to the ELC for offering in town, community-focused, economical childcare for our children. The ELC feels like being part of the Aspen community. It is inclusive and offers great care during hours that support our working family.” -ELC Parent
Our Programs
From birth up until kindergarten, we have 8 classrooms that focus on meeting children’s specific developmental needs. Our curriculum focuses on each area of development through play-based discovery and a warm nurturing environment.
“One of my favorite parts about the Early Learning Center is its diversity in programming. And because it's centrally located, it's not only convenient for me with work, but it allows our children to interact with the Aspen community—whether at one of several local parks or on a walk through town.”- ELC Parent
Extra-Curricular Adventures
Getting our classes out and about is key in fulfilling our values. We run an exciting field trip program and are proud of the variety of community experiences made available to every age.
We work on gross motor development through gymnastics at the Aspen Red Brick (toddler-PreK)
In collaboration with the Aspen Science Center children are introduced to the world of STEM learning
Soccer lessons are provided at a discounted price for our Toddlers-PreK and are held during school
Swimming lessons are provided at the Aspen Recreation Center, teachers take our preschool age children for class one day a week through the summer
