Employment Opportunities

We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:

  • continuing to accept applications for a teacher position

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing responsive care

  • Creative curriculum-based lesson planning

  • Professional engagement with the children, their families, and other staff.

  • Documentations, Observations, and Assessments

  • Work in conjunction with our community partners to ensure the quality of ELC's program.

Benefits

  • After 60 days of employment, the ELC will pay for 75% of employees’ health insurance

  • Early Childhood Educator Tax Credit $750-$1,500 depending on PDIS credential level

  • City of Aspen wage enhancement stipend-$500 a month for full-time employees, $250 part-time

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 18 years of age- Required

  • Must be able to pass a background check- Required

  • Childhood Development Associate certificate- Preferred

  • Early Childhood Teacher Credential- Preferred

  • Bilingual- Strongly Preferred

Professional Development Opportunities

As a large preschool in the Roaring Fork Valley, we offer training for people who have the heart of commitment to be in Early Childhood Education but do not yet have the formal education. Through partnership with Colorado Community College, Kids First, and more, we offer a training program to take new employees from being a Teacher’s Aide to an Assistant Teacher, all the way to a Colorado-certified Early Childhood Teacher and Director. This process includes taking classes, coaching, and classroom mentorship. We welcome bilingual applicants as well. Se habla español.
